Everdale Prosperity Challenge Round 4: Gable-Carr Family
Previously on the Gables: After much tragedy, Auralee finds love again with Joe Carr. She gets engaged, has him move in, and they get married. In the meantime, Jules, her child from the first marriage, became a toddler. And Auralee's mother-in-law (Jules' grandmother) ended her long and painful life. At the end, Auralee suspects she might be pregnant again.

This family picture keeps changing. Five of the original six are gone.

Auralee potty trains Jules. And has success!

Hmm...maybe she is pregnant.

Pop!

Well don't yell at me about it. You're the one who wants to have six children get married. And you lost the first three, so you've got catching up to do!

Joe continues to be a good step-dad.

Sure Ilia. Joe will come on your outing.

Success! And a mechanical skill point!

Back at home...

Awww, they have matching pajamas!

Sad baby.

Promotion for Joe!

Jules' birthday!

Cute!

Hello Ghost Adanna! Come to enjoy the party?

Pop!

Komei was the only guest to actually attend this party. I guess everyone else heard this house was seriously cursed.

But Jules has fun playing with Komei.

Or he did...not sure what happened here.

Jules looks real thrilled with his successful birthday party. 1 nice point remember.

Adanna again. But more importantly, look at all the stuff I bought them! One day, they might get some wallpaper too.

Auralee and Joe talk to Jules about the coming baby.

Jules thinks it's fun to throw food at people.

Joe does not think it is fun to have food thrown at him.

A week's pay! They're back down to $0!

Jules and Orlando play. They look sorta alike.

Awww, Auralee still dreams of her dead husband, Efrat.

Baby time!

It's a girl. Her name is Elke. She has brown hair (as do both her parents, surprise surprise) and her mother's brown eyes.

Jules and Joe come to see the baby.

Friend Winnie also inserts herself into this personal family moment.

Jules hates the new lamps I got. But ya know, until that moment, I hadn't noticed how dark it was in that room.

Winnie looks sorta mad.

Auralee talks about getting a promotion. Joe thinks Winnie is hot.

Auralee dreams of Efrat again that night.

Joe plays with baby Elke.

The new computer broke already. So I sent Joe to fix it since he has 5 mechanical points.

Whatya think? Alive or dead?
.
.
.
He's alive...but given this house, you'd think he was dead, huh?

Auralee gossips to her friend Sanjay about her child Zeb who was taken away by the social worker!!!

As a side note, Auralee is still best friends with Zeb, but barely remembers the other two kids.

Jules dreams of his sister Justine...whom he has never met.

Woah, scary.

Adanna scares Jules out of bed.

You're right, Jules. It was a ghost.

Efrat's ghost: "Hey, that ghost over there...that looks like my mother."

Then Efrat scares Jules. Kid's had a tough night.

Oh, the nanny is gonna attend to the baby. That's nice. There's a strange glow in Jules room...

Cuz the nanny was attending to the baby while she left food in the oven!!!

Luckily, I had installed a fire alarm.

Auralee got promoted!

And Joe got promoted!

Jules and Orlando and Joe and Evlin have water balloon fights.

Auralee harvests a lot of bland oranges.

Then she goes to bed and dreams of Efrat again. Awww.

Next time: how is Jules doing in school? Will Joe and Auralee have more babies? And will anyone ever fix that computer?

You were so lucky Joe didn't die fixing the computer - like you said, I would have laid odds on that he would. I think it's sad Auralee still misses Efrat, but who doesn't remember their first love?
I also have a kid with one point in nice, and it makes for some interesting facial expressions - one's I've never seen before.
Nice update as usual.

No reaper this round! Despite electrifying computers and pyromanic nannies and hyperactive ghosts. Well done!

I know! I was waiting for the tragedy and nothing happened.

Thanks for reading.
