Everdale Prosperity Challenge Round 11: Rossiter 4 Family
Previously on the Rossiter4s, Whistler moved in his fiance Marylena and they soon after got married. The wedding was lovely except that everyone got sick. Soon after, Marylena became pregnant and after a frightening three days, gave birth to a boy, Jose.

Marylena Rossiter, family sim, LTW: Become captain hero, 6 neat, 3 shy, 6 active, 4 seroius, 6 nice, OTH: tinkering
Whistler Rossiter, popularity/pleasure sim, LTW: be a celebrity chef, 6 neat, 3 shy, 6 active, 4 serious, 6 nice, OTH: tinkering
Jose Rossiter, baby sim

I did not realize that Marylena and Whistler had identical personalities 'til now.

Whistler and Marylena are yet again sick.

Some scenes of Whistler and baby Jose

Marylena comes home with a promotion, but feels too awful to appreciate it.

Uh oh.

Marylena seems unphased by the whole thing. Anyway, nothing was stolen, the policewoman won.

But actually she and Whistler were both very shaken up by the break in.

Marylena is vengeful.

Kamil comes to yell at Marylena for spying on him.

Usually I see sims fight back at this, but Marylena just breaks down and cries. She's very sensitive as well as vengeful.

To improve the mood, Whistler, the popularity sim, throws a party.

Hey hey hey...you're married Evlin! Just cuz he's grown up does not make him fair game!

Smustle!

Whistler's closest friends are still his high school friends.

Marylena sends Evlin home early as she is giving people illness.

Despite Whistler's expression the party went well.

Soon after Whistler is invited on an outing.

They spent over an hour stuck at this doorway.

Tryphosa, you may recall, is one of Whistler's oldest friends. And his first wooHoo I believe.

Back at home, Marylena has news for Whistler.

Then she falls asleep in her comfort soup.

Whistler wants to make comfort soup. Unfortunately, he is not a family sim and it will never happen.

Great, the baby is starving. In most houses they are overfed.

It's official. Number 2 is on the way.

Who left the baby in front of the fridge???

Marylena picks him up...and Jose becomes a toddler! Super cute hair, but his jaw line needs a lot of help.

Jose is not a nice boy. Neat, active, playful...and definitely not nice.

So apparently Jose is furious at the burglar.

He takes after his mother.

Aww, Whistler and Jose are best friends.

He is sorta cute. Perhaps he'll grow into the jaw line.

Woo! That's a good one.

Some more toddler pics...

It's a boy...his name is Talon.

I'm glad this new baby has not stressed out Whistler at all.

And that's it for this house! Just a few days with Elke Carr and then Round 11 is done! Woo!

It is unfortunate that children seem to gradually grow a little more evil for each generation, unless you specifically breed for goodness. There are quite a number of 1-nice-point sims running around by now in the prosperities I follow. I wonder what this says about the worldview of the people at Maxis...

Of course, if my parents had dropped me in front of the fridge to to party, I would probably had 1 nice point too!

Ooo, is that an overall trend? I thought I just really nasty sims.

I have seen it in a lot of neighborhoods. I suspect the star sign. I know a number of them give -2 to nice, in addition to various other modifiers. It looks like this is inherited, so the nice gradually shrinks until it stops at 1. In rare cases it may reach 0, if the parent had 2. But usually a non-created sim starts with a nice of 5, which is modified by either 0, 2 or -2 by star signs. Since -2 is the most common, eventually you end up with a lot of 1 nice point sims. At least I think this is the reason. I certainly see a lot of those nasty sims toward the end of a prosperity or legacy.

Hm. Another boy. You really have the opposite curse than me.

Marylena telling the news and then promptly falling asleep in her soup was soo funny, and very realistic in a sims kind of way :D

Uh Oh Burglar -- I'm glad nothing was stolen. If your sims have a car and they get a car alarm installed then the alarm will go off before the burglar even gets inside the house. Jose is a cutie and has a good mixture of his parent's genes it seems. How many kids are you going to let these two have? Congrats on the big bonus! :)
