Everdale Prosperity Challenge Round 8: The Carr-Gable Family Part 1
Previously on the Carr-Gables, the Carrs re-adopted Zeb, one of the triplets previously taken by the social worker. Everyone was happy that Zeb (re)joined the family. Bishop grew up into a super-cute toddler. Jules got his first kiss from Ivy Copur. Zeb, Jules, and Elke got into private school. Joe got a couple of promotions and Auralee discovered she was pregnant yet again.

Bishop Carr, toddler, 10 neat, 10 outgoing, 9 active, 3 serious, 1 grouchy
Jules Gable, teen, family sim, LTW: marry off 6 children, 9 nice, 7 outgoing, 9 active, 3 serious, 1 grouchy
Joe Carr, adult, fortune sim, LTW: reach the top of the adventurer career, 6 neat, 5 outgoing, 8 active, 3 serious, 3 grouchy
Auralee Carr, adult, family sim, LTW: marry of 6 children, 4 sloppy, 7 outgoing, 8 active, 3 serious, 3 grouchy
Zeb Carr, child, 5 neat, 8 outgoing, 6 active, 3, serious, 3 grouchy
Elke Carr, child, 10 neat, 10 outgoing, 9 active, 3 serious, 1 grouchy

This house is getting to be a lot of work to run. And we have another on the way. Anyway...

Auralee reads to Bishop, the cutest toddler, while Joe bathes in the background.

I have Joe check out if this statue really does anything...it does. His fun goes up some.

Joe plays with Bishop and the rabbit head.

Zeb still isn't too happy about his grades. They're getting better though.

Jules gets his brother ready for his birthday party.

Meanwhile, Elke is outside kicking Marsha Bruenig.

Before Bishop's birthday, it's Elke's birthday! Where are the guests?

Before the guests pay any attention, Elke goes ahead and grows up.

She becomes a teen...and no one notices.

Elke becomes a popularity sim who desires a stinky red head.

Oh look, Auralee is best friends with Woody. Cool. Thus far, the Carr-Gables haven't had much interaction with the other prosperity families.

Now Bishop's birthday...and everyone pays attention!

Get your last looks of Bishop as a toddler.

The whole family cheers for Bishop! Well, Elke doesn't look too happy, but Zeb's enthusiasm makes up for it.

Bye bye cutest Toddler!

Still cute. But somehow, I miss the toddler.

Zeb looks a little angry in the background.

Apparently Woody kicked Zeb in the balls...that could be why he was angry.

Also Brandon invites Jules on an outing, but Jules declines since it is a big family birthday party here.

Woody tells Amin how they had a family reunion at his brother Arlo's wedding.

Amin looks angry at Bishop. Give him a break, Amin. It's his birthday and he's just a kid.

Now that Elke is too old to play with Marsha, Bishop comes in.

Anyway, the party was successful...which is very important to Elke, the new popularity sim.

Back up in the bathroom, Bishop is upset he can't clean the toilet cuz Jules wants to use it. I think use gets priority over clean, so you and your 10 neat points get out, Bishop!

He goes for the other toilet.

After the party, Elke and Zeb get right down to doing homework.

Elke didn't think getting a makeover was any fun. Maybe she'll think it's more fun when she goes shopping so she doesn't have to be in outerwear all the time.

Joe lectures Zeb for breaking the computer. I suspect it wasn't really Zeb's fault. Computers break all the time.

Joe fixes the computer without incident.

What are you worried about, Bishop?

Oh, your brothers and Dad are eating rotting cereal. That would concern me too. At least Joe and his step-son Jules are best friends now.

Bishop hugs Jules and wishes him best of luck in not getting sick from the bad food. The hug worked, Jules (and everyone else) was okay.

Auralee is having a rough pregnancy. She naps on the couch, right near the kitchen, so she can go back and forth between eat and sleep easily.

After enough complaining, I put her in the energizer. That will take care of her for a little bit anyway.

Elke brings home Ricky and Jules gets a cooking point.

I'm thinking Elke will need a new hairstyle. I'm not thrilled with this.

Bishop after his first day of school.

A+ for Zeb!

At first Auralee can't even look at Zeb's report card...will the social worker be back soon?
Eventually she opens her eyes and cheers...not just for Zeb, but for her family staying together.

Now that everyone is home, Elke grabs Ricky Cormier and heads downtown to shop.

Hmmm...what to choose, what to choose.

Then Elke mimes what aliens do to Ricky. I wonder if that excites Ricky.

Elke finishes her new look at home with a new do. Now she's set for popularity.

Newly energized Auralee is able to help Bishop with his homework.

Later that night...

Baby time!

It's a boy, his name is Stuart.

While the birth was happening, Jules and Joe got in a good game of red hands. If I were Auralee, I would not be that calm.

Finally, they cheer for the baby.

Auralee wants 10 children. I'm still undecided about if that will happen. She wants the children, but doesn't seem all that interested in them once they are born. Then again, she is mostly pregnant and too tired.

In the meantime, Zeb and Bishop play together.

Auralee dreams of her first husband Efrat.

And Elke cannot believe there's another baby!

On that note, I will end this as I'm really tired and this entry probably will have to be split up anyway. Next half: birthdays and more family time. And maybe a few teen dates.

Apparently Woody kicked Zeb in the balls...that could be why he was angry. That must one of the funniest lines I've read, mainly because of the picture, which was priceless!
Poor Auralee, she doesn't seem to have such a great time while she's pregnant - why in the world she'd want 10 is beyond me. Family sims make no sense sometimes. As soon as one is born they want another, and looking after the one's they have becomes harder and harder. Thinking about it, she's not done a bad job, considering how hard the start of this challenge was for her.
BTW - I miss the cutest toddler ever too!

Despite all those kids, this house has really become routine since the beginning.

I do kinda want them to have another kid so I can try to replicate Bishop as a toddler.

This entry had me laughing the whole time. Elke's makeover is really cute, although I liked the long hair and bangs too. Hopefully Stu will be as cute as Bishop! So do the triplets count toward Auralee's 10 kids power want even though they got taken away? If they do, she already has 7... what's 3 more right? I wonder if you get credit for another kid if you re-adopt Jake and Justine... I'm not sure how you handle that many sims in a house, I'm usually pulling my hair out on the first day of play in the Devivio house in my hood -- they have 5 kids too, it's insanity.

Good questions about the 10 kids. I'm not counting Zeb as a new sim when he comes back, even though he got -1 when he was taken away. Hmmm. All sorts of technicalities.
